The Liberal and NDP candidates have yet to respond to the BC Deer Protection Coalition's survey of attitudes and knowledge regarding the deer cull situation in BC. The Green Party has taken the matter seriously enough to respond with a consistently humane position.

"We intend to increase funding for the conservation officer service in
order to provide more training in non-lethal tactics, as well as
increasing funding for the animal protection functions of humane
societies."
